At Magic Carpet Day Camp, our aquatics program is a premier example of what makes us so special! Our aquatic staff meets and exceeds the strictest qualifications, and hold a close affiliation with the American Red Cross. We have over 15 lifeguards in addition to some Water Safety Instructors (WSI’s) working directly with the campers.

All lifeguards have met the Red Cross Safety qualifications, have completed CPR and AED courses, and are certified lifeguards. Many have experience with other camps, and supervising campers. At Magic Carpet Day Camp, our campers receive expert instruction in small camper-to-instructor ratios, and age-appropriate facilities. In addition to a daily instructional swim period the kids have the opportunity to enjoy some free swim time.

Magic Carpet Day Camp uses an indoor heated aquatic facility. The Flushing Meadows Aquatic Center, an enclosed award-winning state of the art facility allows our campers to swim daily, including days with inclement weather!
